This is true; reaching the top of the escarpment requires significant climbs. We regret to hear that dinner was an issue along the route. Thank you for your thorough review of your walk along the South West Coast Path. We regret to hear your itinerary along the Far West of Cornwall was a bit too punishing; the mileages along this undulating bit of coastline are certainly a greater challenge than they may seem. I would recommend anyone researching this walk who is concerned by those longer mileages choose our FWC2 itinerary or higher, as it's the FWC1 that leads to these longer, harder days.

We're pleased our planning service worked well for you, but regret that trail maintenance was not up to expectations. We are in peak growing season at the moment so the state of the trail can change quite rapidly, but that's no excuse of landowners not to keep up with their responsibilities there.
