Items took over a week to arrive. Many firms seem to be able to manage a next day delivery.

I am sorry your order was delayed. Sometimes, even with my best efforts items go out of stock. I carry a level of stock that normally proves sufficient but then an order arrives for an unexpected number and clears a stock line and then another order arrives for what I've just gone out of stock. A rapid re-order is then dependent on a wholesaler turning round the order quickly. It happens even to the big firms - Winsor & Newton went out of stock of Scarlet Calligraphy Ink before Christmas and was out of stock for weeks! I always apologise when customers are disappointed but sometimes there is little else I can do.
