Thank you for your recent review. We are so pleased to hear that you have found our UK holidays outstanding. The change of grade you mention relates to the second of your holidays with us this year to Germany which has changed grade from D/D+ to D+. We have been operating this holiday to the Elbe valley for a few years now. This grade adjustment was made following feedback from our leaders indicating that the cumulative ascents and descents throughout the day's walk, rather than the altitude differences between the lowest and highest points of the walks do push all but one of the walks into the upper end of the advertised grade. In making this change and notifying clients already booked we were seeking to be honest and reflect the reality that there would be few daily walking sections below our D+ grade. The walks in this part of the world are truly remarkable, and the routes through these unusually eroded landscapes are as exhilarating as they are beautiful. We hope that you enjoy your walk through it, despite us regretfully having to adjust our description to clarify the demands of the terrain. Angus Russell Planning Manager
