Apologies you felt we did not achieve set goals.
The main focus for us initially was to help improve the quality of the ads and did achieve this.
We additionally made our own keyword and location focused ads across all ad groups which outperformed the previous versions threefold.
These were the key variables we were focusing on has we had no conversion tracking to work with which of course makes it difficult to really make strategic decisions to improve ROI.
We were sill in the early stages of the campaign but felt like we had achieved success in the campaigns and could have optimised them further. The AdWords account was also paused a few times so didn't run a lot of the time.
I understand you wanted to focus on position 1 but sometimes the CPC bid between 1st and 2nd can be almost double and in most cases not cost effective. So we aimed for a lower position. What we didn't want to do is double your CPA by fighting for top spot while we also restructuring the account.
