I am sorry to hear you are disappointed with your experience with 1Plus1 Loans. The overpayment was made in error and 1Plus1 Loans apologises for the inconvenience caused. The total amount you were contractually obliged to receive was set out in clear terms. It was further explained to you the fact that you would be receiving a top up loan would mean that you would not receive the full amount. Due to an error on our part we did provide you with a significant overpayment and you failed to contact us to notify us of this for 7 days. As a result, the overpayment was claimed back on the basis this was not the agreed amount you were expected to receive. The team did contact you on many occasions to notify you of this and when we were able to successful contact you. As stressed we do apologise for the inconvenience but as this overpayment was for funds which belongs to 1Plus1 Loans, we acted within reason to avoid further issues and the claim back of the funds was to avoid any potential legal action to successfully recover the amount overpaid. Unfortunately, when ensuring a loan is affordable to our customers it sometimes may take longer in certain circumstances. Regarding your comments on the interest rate, as the loan is under 14 days old, you are unhappy with the service and if you believe paying back a total of £1230 for a £1000 loan over a 12 month period is too expensive, you can simply hand the money back and seek credit elsewhere.
