Hi Michael, sorry to hear that you were disappointed. Yes, our half-pound bags contain tubers which will weigh at least 8 ounces, so from that amount you will get about five or six seed pieces at the recommended 1.5 oz/piece. Unit price goes down as bag size goes up, so splitting a larger bag with a neighbor would provide savings. For maximum vigor and yields, we ship seed tubers in a dormant condition. The Baltic Rose is an especially dormant variety so you will want to warm the seed tubers up inside for a couple weeks @70-75oF to break dormancy and get the sprouts to start growing.
