Good morning and thank you for your feedback. I am pleased to hear that you enjoy travelling on our FastCat route. We do understand that it may be frustrating to find that a fare is higher than expected though and in keeping with most forms of domestic transport, including the UK’s national rail network, our Day Return tickets are considerably discounted. Our Period Returns can be considered as our standard fares. This tactical pricing not only reflects the travel restrictions attached to day tickets compared to the flexibility offered by Period Returns but is also designed to encourage day visits to the Island and boost the tourism economy. It also benefits Islanders popping over to the mainland for a few hours. I hope this helps and we see you onboard again soon.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. I am pleased to hear that your recent travel with us was a positive experience however, I am sorry you find the fare prices too high. We use Flexi-Pricing, which means that prices for a particular crossing may increase in line with demand for that crossing. Our fares also reflect the cost of running our service (which is not subsided). The sooner you book, the more likely you are to pay a lower fare and fares will generally get higher the closer you get to the sailing date, particularly during busier times. Keep an eye on our 'offers' tab on our website for ideas on ways to save. I would also recommend to sign up for our newsletter, if you haven't already done so, to keep up to date with all of our latest offers. Thank you again Helen and I hope the above helps.

Hello Terry and thank you for your review. My apologies for the disruption to your original sailing however, I am very pleased to hear that the staff in our Wightlink Contact Centre were so helpful in amending your booking to our Lymington to Yarmouth route to save waiting in Portsmouth. Thank you again and hope to see you again soon.
