We were most surprised to read your review, as the last email from you read as follows.... “Good Morning John,Many thanks for the prompt removal of the pallets and the kind gift of a bottle of wine. RegardsM........” We dropped a bottle of wine off by way of an apology, and an acknowledgement that our service levels and communication had not been up to our usual high standard, in that we had not delivered on the vehicle that you had requested, and that the MD had not concluded his investigation within the timescale he had hoped. This was during the busiest month in the history of Westminster Stone. The MD and his son who is the General Manager of the business, personally drove down to your address at 6.30pm after work on a Friday evening, so that he didn’t have the pallets in view in the garden over the weekend, and to drop off the wine. The internal email to notify the dispatch team that they'd already been collected on the Friday evening had not been seen before an instruction to a different driver to collect the pallets had been issued, on the following Monday morning (They had been prioritised as urgent before the decision was unexpectedly made to collect them on the Friday evening).

We don't think your last comment is fair at all! So we'll reiterate our response above for better clarity. The MD emailed the dispatch manager in the afternoon after your phone call to say that you pallets must be collect first thing Monday morning without fail. The MD then wanted to apologise personally and with a gesture for the reasons above and remove your pallets even quicker than agreed, he then emailed the dispatch manager at 7pm to say he's collected the pallets so no need to go Monday morning, The driver had already been arranged on the Friday afternoon for a Monday morning collection, and dispatched first thing Monday morning before the dispatch manager had read the email to say they'd been collected. We can't insist that our staff read their emails out of working hours, so its not a case of LEFT HAND - RIGHT HAND, it's a case of we went out of our way on a Friday evening to apologise and it obviously backfired, However, again we'll repeat.
