Thank you for your feedback. While we take all reviews seriously, we must stand by the professional advice provided by our Transport Manager, Michael. To clarify for other readers: the request was to place a skip on a public road/footpath without a permit. As a professional waste management company, we must decline such requests as they are illegal under Section 139 of the Highways Act 1980. Placing equipment on public land without proper licensing is a criminal offense and a major public safety risk. To help your project move forward, Michael offered the only two legal alternatives: 1.A Formal Road Permit: We apply for council permission to ensure the skip is legally placed, lit, and insured. 2.Wait & Load Service: A permit-free solution where our driver stays with the vehicle while it is loaded. Both options were declined. Any reputable, licensed waste carrier is bound by these same laws. Proceeding illegally would risk the seizure of the skip under Section 140 of the Highways Act and invalidate our Public Liability Insurance. While we are disappointed to receive a 1-star rating for upholding the law and ensuring public safety, we will not compromise our legal obligations. We wish you the best with your project. Many Thanks
