We have the perfect cover option for people like yourself, as long as you have general travel insurance,(through your bank account for example), which covers your whole trip. Our Activity TopUp policy, which is described and can be selected from the home page of our website, just needs to be taken out for the day(s) that you are doing a sport that is not covered under your main policy. You can either get a quote by clicking on the following link, or if you can call or email us and provide the dates that you will be doing your sport, we would be happy to provide you with a quote. https://www.sportscoverdirect.com/activity-topup-insurance/ We would be happy to refund the policy that you have taken out, and replace it with an Activity TopUp policy for you.

The sporting activity is the "risky" bit of your trip. If you are doing the sport for the whole of your trip, then the price would be the same as our Sports Travel bronze cover, but with Activity Topup you only need to select the dates that you are doing the sport / activity, which brings the price down if those dates are less than the whole trip length. That being said, I see your total trip length is 10 days. As our travel policy prices are based on trip lengths of 3,5,7, then 10 days etc, the price would only go down if you are doing your sport for 7 days or less. If it is a knock-out competition, you could always take out Activity TopUp for the minimum no. of days that you believe you will be in the competition, and extend the cover whilst you're over there if /when you make it through to later rounds. I believe you have been in email contact with Lucy in our sales team, so if you would like provide her with dates, we would be happy to price up the options for you.
