We are very sorry to hear that you feel any of the attributed fees associated to your booking were excessive. Please note the booking fee pays for our services - the business costs of operating a web-
site and 24-hour call centre, Customer Service department and despatch teams and is the only payment that See receive for operating. The transaction fee covers the cost of processing your order.
With regards to cancellation protection, previously this was opt out rather than opt in for the simple reason this could not be added to your booking once the transaction was confirmed (but removed if unintentionally purchased). In May of this year however we changed our policy with this so this facility is now opt in.
