Thank you for your comments and please accept our apologies for the perceived lack of consistency. I suspect grading will always be a contentious issue. Trying to reflected the infinite complexities of the natural world with a simple grade will always leave room for misunderstandings. It is a constant topic of conversation in the office as to how we improve our system to include as many relevant factors (time walking, distance covered, altitude gained, ambient temperature, conditions underfoot, etc) as possible. we are working on this. Thanks for your feedback - we're sorry that you experienced such a prolonged period of bad weather in the Atlantic which caused the ship's routing and our shore walking programmes to be disrupted and subject to repeated last-minute changes. We've been running these holidays in November for several years now and haven't had a group run into anything like the sea conditions your group experienced on this cruise. Despite the adversity you experienced, we hope that you still managed to enjoy your holiday, albeit in a different way to that intended. We're pleased to note that several of your travelling companions have also contacted us appreciating the way our tour leader managed the less than ideal situation. If you are in any doubt as the likely suitability of a holiday, please give us a call - we'll be glad to give you as much information as you need to help you decide whether a particular programme is likely to be the one for you.
