Many thanks for your comments, it's great to hear that you appreciated the efforts of our sales team and tour leader in handling your booking and looking after you once overseas. We're sorry for your disappointment with the local walks however we are aware that it was particularly warm during your holiday with temperatures in the thirties throughout. We also understand that some paths were closed without warning by the local authorities during your stay due to army training in the area which resulted in some last minute changes to the leader's walk programme. We're sorry that you didn't enjoy your most recent holiday as much as you'd hoped and that you hadn't been feeling too well just before the holiday. We recognise your preference for largely coastal walking, but we do feel that the range of walks included does give a good feel for the island. You're right about the small group size, however although this holiday operated as a loss to us, we felt that with six clients, four of whom were solo travellers, this would still be good holiday and that it would have been a shame to disappoint those looking forward to their break by cancelling it. We're surprised at your comments about Ventnor appearing run down as we've had several staff members and leaders visit over the last year. Although certainly bigger than Yarmouth, we chose Ventnor as our base for these holidays due to its pleasant atmosphere and having the attractions of a small coastal town, as well as good immediate access to varied walks and good transport links. Thanks for your feedback and for letting us know you enjoyed your holiday to Sicily. Your leader Karen has both many years of experience as a tour leader as well as being an Italian specialist; there are always going to be comparisons when we have two parallel groups operating with different leaders from the same base (and we're aware groups often become very supportive or their group and tour leader). The difference in this case was amplified as the C grade leader was stepping up to the plate and replacing a colleague who had had to pull out at the last moment. Angus Russell Planning Manager

Thanks for your feedback and we're glad you enjoyed the sights of Sicily despite the heat! Over the years we've taken the advice of previous leaders and clients and tried a few variations of this popular holiday to make the best use of our time on the island. The current itinerary provides a nice circuit and removes the need for a long transfer before taking the return flight home; the third night here allows for a second full day of sightseeing in and around this great Sicilian city. We have also been getting favourable reports of the meals service too in Palermo, however we'll keep a we will keep a close eye on the restaurant service. Moving on to Syracuse, we just have one meal on arrival at the hotel here rather than having to rush out to a local restaurant after the transfer.
