Thanks for your comments - although we do operate as a commercial company, our purpose is to generate funds to support grass-roots walking in the UK and projects in the destinations we work in. We want to run a successful company and provide both good quality and value for money holidays. Profits aren't taken out of the organisation for directors or shareholders; they're either ploughed back into the company or used to promote access to the great outdoors. We're aware that your booking was subject to a flight supplement to due to the lateness of your booking; airlines do actively manage their seat pricing as the flight's departure date approaches. Regretfully any seats we have to request within 3 months of the holiday date often come at a higher rate than those used to originally price the holiday and available to those booking earlier. We're sorry that our online booking process caused you a little concern, particularly so late at night. Our Accounts and IT departments have both had a look at your booking record and booking process. It appears that the glitch relates to the electronic process passing through your card issuer's security check. However your online booking does seem to have gone through without problem.
