Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry that you found your customer service lacking. I have looked into this and the advice you were given is correct. The carrier we use for 3m lengths of pipe is Tuffnells (as other carriers will not take these long lengths), and as a commercial carrier, Tuffnells do not offer a drop off and collect service. Any collections have to be booked as a separate job. To book this would have cost £20.09 (this is the cost price to us). This is because they charge an additional premium for collections from residential premises and another premium on top for collecting from a non-account address. The value of your goods was £14.80 +VAT, so we advised that we would have to charge you £20.09+VAT and therefore wasn't really worth it. We did offer that you could arrange to send it back yourself if you could find a cheaper way. 

The person you spoke to was also correct in stating that we do not normally take pipe back (most other suppliers also state this). This is because even when wrapped, pipe picks up marks on route and to take it back, and then re-send it out to another customer multiplies this potential damage threefold. We did however offer that if you could arrange to get  the pipe back, we would give a full refund, and this offer still stands as long as it arrives back in a condition that we can resell it.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. Firstly I am pleased that the item was delivered on time and arrived in perfect condition. I am a little bemused by your other comments with regards the price. The item ordered was a 2m length of clear rigid pipe, which you requested to pay additional delivery for so it could be delivered uncut to a residential address. We are forced to charge this additional amount, as for lengths over 1.5m, Tuffnells are the only carrier that will take it and they charge a surcharge for residential deliveries. This is stated and explained very clearly on the website in multiple locations. 

Unfortunately VAT is something that is charged on everything. All our products show prices both excluding and including VAT. 

As a company we make no money on carriage or VAT.

We aim to be as open and transparent as possible on our pricing and are always open to suggestion as to how we could make ourselves more so.
