We contacted the owner after receiving your e-mail and review.  He was very distressed after your stay and complaint.  He has never received complaints before and his calendar has always been full.  

The rental of his villa is his income and has always been diligent to ensure customers enjoy their stay.  Indeed we have taken bookings for his villa since 2011 and this is the first time we have received a complaint.  

The owner confirmed there were issues with the pool pump this was unforeseen mechanical failure and the owners representative had to call technicians in to get it fixed, this was unfortunate this occurred.

The air conditioning according to the property representative was left on permanently and when it is having to work consistently over a sustained period of time in hot weather can cause condensation and leakage.  Again no reports of this have been made in the past but the owner will look into it.

The furniture and TV are those that are depicted in the villa adverts pictures.  It is clear that the TV is not a flat screen modern TV. 

Wi-Fi is available in the villa.  In any house no matter what the strength of the signal there can be black spots where the signal will not reach, which appears to be the bedroom in this villa but works elsewhere.

The representative was on hand at anytime to talk through the useage of any appliances in the villa.  They will happily now also provide an instruction manual for customers, they hadn’t considered this before as it hadn’t been requested.

 

The toilet was repaired, it was unfortunate there was an issue with it at the time of your stay.

Thank you for your feedback.  We are very disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay.  Having spoken to the owner he has explained that he is very dissatisfied that the broken sun lounger, chair and parasol were not removed before your arrival as he understands that they are unsightly.  The guests that stayed previous to you unfortunately broke these.  He has now had these removed by his property manager, but he has told us that there were still sufficient loungers and outdoor chairs for all guests to use during your stay.

He was not aware during your stay that you were not happy with the overall cleanliness of the villa.  The sheet you mentioned had a stain on it from a rusty clothes peg which the cleaner had used to hang it on the line.  He has assured us that this was not blood.  Clean linen should have been provided and again, his cleaner will be spoken to about this.  

You are correct in saying that check out is at 10am and we have made it very clear that entering the villa before this time is not permitted.

We are very sorry that your stay was not perfect.  We have always had positive reviews of this villa so this is a surprise, but we appreciate you bringing these small issues to our attention.
