Dear Julie, many thanks for your four star review. For a 1st of December availability, as I believe yours was, we would always urge caution asking for an increased rent. The ultimate aim usually for a landlord is to minimise any void period, and given that there are not generally many tenants looking to move in 3 weeks before Christmas, this is probably why you were given the advice you were.
