We charge a flat rate of £8.75 for delivery to UK mainland addresses - this is with UPS and is tracked and insured. This rate applies regardless of quantity. In his case the customer ordered 1 metre and I understand that in this context the shipping represents a fair percentage of the overall cost. There are very few couriers who will deliver our parcels due to the length (1.5m approx) - also, folding fabric for small orders and posting with Royal Mail for example wouldn't actually save on cost if we send tracked and insured. We very much understand what the customer is saying here but unfortunately we don't have other options. Our main concern is that fabric should arrive in pristine condition which is why we always send out bulk orders rolled on a sturdy tube. Tim Kennedy Owner Modelli Fabrics
