Hi, Many thanks for your feedback, this is very important to us. I'm pleased that you are happy with the overall service we offer and take on board your comments. I'm not sure if you are aware that when shipping internationally couriers generally calculate the shipping cost based on the amount of space the shipment takes up whilst in transit, this is called the volumetric weight. The costs are only calculated on the actual weight if the amount exceeds the volumetric weight. I see that although your item was very light in weight at 0.84 kg, the volumetric weight was actually 5.65 kg so the shipping costs were based on the higher volumetric weight. forward2me do offer a combine and repack service, like you have mentioned this service helps save money if you are shipping multiple items by combining them into one shipment however this service can also work for single items by reducing the overall size of the package (volumetric weight) which helps reduce the final cost of shipping. When shipping domestically within the UK retailers shipping is often calculated on the actual weight of the goods not the volumetric weight. Therefore they tend to have certain size boxes/bags that they use for the delivery of goods. This means that small items can be shipped in much larger boxes than necessary as the cost will be calculated on the weight not the size of the box. Always using our combine and repack service means that you know that your goods are packed as efficiently as possible for international shipping and that you are receiving the best possible shipping price for your goods. Hi, Many thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate this and take on board your comments. I see that your items included goods that were classed as Dangerous goods, these kind of shipments do incur a surcharge from the courier which has made shipping a little more expensive than usual. It is really difficult to share the pricing for dangerous goods on our website as the surcharges vary dependent on the type of dangerous goods that are being shipped however our Customer Experience team are always here to help and will be happy to quote you for shipping before you receive the goods if you can provide us with the contents, weight and dimensions of your package.
