Thanks for your feedback, although we will politely disagree with your statement about us and how we operate. And here's why....
It's interesting to read your feedback and compare it with all the other feedback our company, products and customer support have received so far. Your comments are very much at odds with our other customers feelings and experiences. I wonder which is correct? They can't both be right. We can't be amazing and unfriendly and arrogant! So, is it the hundreds of 5 star reviews of both service and products our business has or your 2 star unfriendly/arrogant one? I think people can use their own judgement on this, but let me assure you you can't 'cheat' your way to great reviews and feedback. Our customers have gone out of their way and taken time to show their appreciation and positivity for what we do and how we do it. They have done that because that's the experience they have received and the one we provide to them. A great service and fantastic customer support to all. Always. Including you.
However, as we can see from your review, it seems true when they say "you can't please all of the people all of the time" regardless of what you do or how you do it.
We would be happy to publish our complete transcript of communication with you via email across our social media channels, which over 1/4 million people subscribe to, and ask them all if they thought our communication or the way we wrote to you was "unfriendly" or "arrogant", but I think you'll find our customers would not agree with you on that, because we were not. We think if people read both sides, you might find that it was in fact you who was unfriendly and arrogant towards our staff who were trying to help and be of assistance to you.
You blamed us for your lack of understanding of your own countries import rules and regulations and then blamed us for not offering you tax advice pre-purchase! What brands/websites do that?
We are an ethically founded, sustainable, carbon neutral, tree planting, transparent business, making great products and doing great things for the planet with nothing to hide. We are not trying to 'trick' our customers. We make it clear our business is based in the U.K and offer general guidance to ALL customers on shipping and import rules and regulations, but as a company that has customers in almost every single country on the planet, we are unable to offer detailed tax and importation advice to cover everyone. That responsibility is, and always has been with the purchaser. A fact you were not willing to accept.
We did nothing wrong.
For the record, we picked, packed and dispatched your items quickly and with the same love we give to all orders. We provided you with exactly what you purchased and your items were shipped and delivered correctly and on-time.
We are sorry that you are unhappy with the way your government taxes your goods on arrival into your country. But this is not something we, or any other brand can control. As you live in a Democratic country we would, if you are unhappy with your country's tax rules and regulations, vote for another party that upholds your views and change the tax laws. This is how you effect change. Not by attacking a brand you purchased goods from and blaming them for your government's tax policies that you don't like!
And even days later, with time to reflect on the situation, we can see from this review of our business and our products that you still are unwilling to accept the situation, continue with your negativity and blame towards all others. Because in your eyes, on all matters, it's always someone else's fault.
The one true part of your review is that you won't be shopping with us ever again. We agree.
