Good morning David, whilst we try our best to achieve all delivery dates given sometimes this does not always happen as we have to rely on third party distribution, in this case Catherwood Construction Materials based in East Kilbride, we ourselves were not informed by this party that there was a problem with the order and only came to light when we heard from yourself this morning, one of our sales team has contacted you this morning to resolve the problem, we are on the understanding from the supplier Catherwood that the lintel will now be arriving on site with you today or at the latest tomorrow morning, we hope this is a satisfactory response and apologise once again for the confusion caused. Good afternoon Thomas, we're very sorry that you have had a bad experience regarding this particular order, we do endeavour to keep our customers informed at all times where possible of delays or shortages to their orders, we gave you the information to the best of our knowledge on the Monday that the goods would be delivered on the Friday as the lintel wasn't in stock and would have to be ordered in, this was the information given to us by our third party distribution (Hendricks Civils & Lintels Westbury). It only became apparrant to us on Friday that the lintel hadn't arrived on site when you called us, we again contacted Westbury who told us it wouldn't now be delivered until Monday, it would then appear that the vehicle delivering the lintel on the Monday couldn't gain access to the site and after trying to contact yourself could not get a response so the driver drove on to finish his delivery schedule, at no point did the driver or Westbury make contact with ourselves giving us the option to contact you, we have been informed that the lintel did arrive this morning as discussed, we have also been in contact with the manager at Westbury in regards to what we can offer you for the problems you've experienced and have come to the conclusion that you will be refunded in full for the lintel, once again we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
