Hi Jason, I am very sorry to hear you are not happy with the product. It sounds like you may have a faulty product, but I'm not sure without seeing the actual product. The lid is designed to be a friction push-fit, which seals all the way around the rim, and at the same time, it is easy to remove for cleaning or when you want to use it as a bucket. The tap allows you to use it as a water dispenser. The product is NOT suitable for carrying water in a vehicle due to the design of the lid, which is highlighted on our website listing. I am not sure if you were intended to carry water in this manner?
