I bought 2 items and they are great, nothing wrong. However, a week after I received them, I got an email telling me there was £40 off one item and £30 off the other!

Hey there! That is definitely some unfortunate timing!
Unfortunately this is how sales work for all retailers as we need to post when we have offers and can't prevent people from buying products before-hand.
