Good afternoon Thank you for your review. We're sorry that the access route was blocked from time to time for some essential maintenance work. We understand that you wanted to drive all a public footpath rather than ask the contractors to move their equipment to let you through. Unfortunately, public footpaths do not allow motorised vehicles. Please accept our apologies that the kitchen bulb blew during your holiday and that there was no replacement readily available for you. Kind regards National Trust Holidays
