Great way to see a large part of Italy but be prepared to be busy. Comprehensive itinerary, be careful not to over commit to optional excursions. Travel light if possible.

The itinerary was very good in general. There was not enough time in the Vatican Museum or Pompeii Archeological Park. It would have been great to go to Hercalaneum as well.
