The Protective Heat Guard clasps neatly over your irons plates, allowing you to leave them to cool down safely and protects the plates whilst your iron is not in use. In addition to protecting your styling tools in a tidy package, the guard also protects your surfaces and carpets from unnecessary damage.

This works exactly as described. It is a soft rubber texture and replaced the one that came with my straighteners which was a hard plastic ( which eventually snapped)

It needs to be advertised that this comes with the straightener. The only thing i would recommend is putting a lock feature on there. as it easily slips off which makes me nervous when i'm packing it...
