We stagger the excess according to the value of your bike(s).

This depends on the type of claim. There is no excess for claims under Sections 1 (Personal Accident), 2 (Personal Liability) or 3 (Legal Expenses). In respect of any claim under Section 4 (Theft and Accidental Damage) the following excess will apply: for a bike with a declared value of less than £1,500 an excess of £75 will apply, for a bike with a declared value of £1,500 or more but less than £7,500 an excess of £100 will apply, and, for a bike with a declared value of between £7,500 and £15,000 an excess of £250 will apply. In the event that a claim involves more than one of your declared bikes, each bike will have a separate excess.For claims of more than £1,000 where we can offer repair or replacement ourselves through a preferred supplier we may with the policyholder's consent waive the excess and repair or replace the bike ourselves

We appreciate your feedback. Cycling Insurance does have conditions and our policy does require your bike to not be left outside for more than 12 Hours at one time. We do allow 24Hrs at a Train Station or Permanent Place of Employment. In such instances we ask for the bike to be locked to an immovable object with an approved lock. Whilst we understand such conditions to be adopted by most insurer's, it is possible that they vary between others.
