Hi, thank you for your review. The cost of shipping is based on the size and weight of the the package this is called volumetric weight and most couriers will charge on the volumetric weight. The fee quoted by us is not just a shipping fee this includes the forwrd2me service. This includes accepting the package, recording the details, storing the parcel until you are ready to ship and preparing all the necessary shipping documents plus customer service assistance. Also please take into account that when a retailer quotes a shipping fee this is not the actual shipping costs they are subsidising the shipping cost from the purchase you have made. With regards to our price calculator, this is accurate, however, this can only quote on the information you input. Hi Please accept our apologies for the issues you encountered, there are restrictions relating to the type of goods that you are trying to ship, although we follow the rules and provide all the information as and when requested it is still the decision of your customs office as to whether they allow the good entry in your country. On this occasion your customs office took the decision to reject the shipment which prompted the return of this. Hi , Many thanks for your review regarding the price of shipping. The cost of shipping is generally calculated by the amount of space that your shipment occupies, rather than the actual weight. This is called the volumetric weight. All couriers (examples: DHL and TNT) use the volumetric weight to calculate their shipping prices. However, if the actual weight is more than this volumetric weight then the shipping price is calculated using this actual weight. I have checked your shipment and on this occasion the volumetric weight is higher than the actual weight so the shipping fees are calculated on the higher volumetric weight. Many retailers in the UK do ship parcels in boxes which are much larger than necessary for the contents due to couriers shipping domestically charging on the actual weight rather than the volumetric weight. For this reason we do offer our combine and repack service, the aim of the service is to reduce the size of the package and in turn reduce the shipping cost. If you choose to use our service again, I would advise that you submit the package for the combine and repack service before shipping Kind Regards, Chris
