Sorry for any frustration the remote setup may have caused.
The good news is that the AV855 works great with a Roku remote, as long as your TV has HDMI ARC or eARC built in. The vast majority of TVs made in the last 10 years have this feature.
When you connect the AV855 to your TV's HDMI ARC or eARC port, your Roku remote, your TV remote, and any other remote you have will all control the ZVOX. The way this works is that the TV receives the commands from the Roku remote and then passes them along to the ZVOX over the HDMI ARC connection. It is all handled by a technology called CEC (consumer electronics control).
For the most part this is plug and play, so it will just start working as soon as you connect the speaker. If it doesn't work right away, it is usually just a setting on the TV, and we are happy to help you track it down. Just submit a new support ticket or email us at info@zvoxaudio.com and include the make and model number of your TV, and we will get right back to you.

I have difficulty with sound clarity. The soundbar that I purchased somewhat improves clarity but not to the level that I want. Perhaps a higher level soundbar is the solution.
