Regarding the footballs - we use only Premier League approved and UEFA Approved balls and if a ball ever goes flat in any session you have... just kick it away and grab another as we have 3 pumps on site always to sort that out!

Thanks for your time on the phone to discuss. I understand it was challenging for your son to compete with larger players, however, whilst we can see the ages of players booked into the event, we do not know the size of the players booked on. Therefore, as we discussed, we do get some 6 foot tall players who are 11 or 12 and so they make the 14 year olds look small, but it is the nature of the different growth patterns in players in the age group. Players that are small at our trials who get scouted have the ability to cope by using their quick feet and movement to shine against bigger players - in the same way players like Messi do in the pro game against giant sized defenders. In professional academy training, there are huge variations in heights at this age too so it is an eye opener into what physical challenges can sometimes be ahead of players. The drills that the our pro club U13 academy coach put the players through was designed to enable the scouts to assess the players ability using the bio-banding size technique. We have had a record number in the 10-14 year old group scouted in the trials week so the set up does work extremely effectively with 1 in 7 players scouted from our event this time round. We wish your son all the best with his football and his development.

Thank you for your response Harry, I do take on board that their will inevitably be variations in size of players, and from your response what you advised is that, the smaller and younger players should be able to go up against bigger and/or older players, as this reflects whether they have what it takes. However if this is the case, as I pointed out in our telephone conversation, why was my son along with the other younger/smaller players kept out of one of the drills and then in the match told to stay on the wings and not encouraged to get stuck in to the match to show that they could go up against such bigger and stronger boys, which is what you have stated they need to be able to do. Following our telephone conversation you advised me the reason the younger players were discouraged from being fully involved was for their health and safety and the coach did not want the younger players to get hurt. But doesn't this contradict your above point that smaller players have to prove they can handle bigger players. I do appreciate your response, but I am sorry Harry I do not agree with you, I think your sessions are geared to the older end, I now wish to draw a line under this experience.
