Thanks for raising your concern with us. I've had a look into what appears to have happened here; at the time you booked your holiday, we would have already had to release any unsold seats for this group back to British Airways and would have needed to buy in an additional seat for you at a higher cost. However, in the period following your decision not to accept the additional flight cost, a cancellation released an existing seat and my colleague Kayleigh was able to call you to offer you a place on this holiday at the original brochured price. Counter intuitively, late bookings can often incur higher costs than advertised in our brochure due to us having to purchase airline seats outside our group contracts (a similar situation can also arise when having to buy in additional rooms at a late stage, particularly singles).
