Hello and thank you for your feedback. Firstly I am pleased that the item was delivered on time and arrived in perfect condition. I am a little bemused by your other comments with regards the price. The item ordered was a 2m length of clear rigid pipe, which you requested to pay additional delivery for so it could be delivered uncut to a residential address. We are forced to charge this additional amount, as for lengths over 1.5m, Tuffnells are the only carrier that will take it and they charge a surcharge for residential deliveries. This is stated and explained very clearly on the website in multiple locations. 

Unfortunately VAT is something that is charged on everything. All our products show prices both excluding and including VAT. 

As a company we make no money on carriage or VAT.

We aim to be as open and transparent as possible on our pricing and are always open to suggestion as to how we could make ourselves more so.

Hello David. Thanks fro the feedback, it's very much appreciated. We used to have a "collect in person" option on the checkout, but for some reason, it caused a lot of confusion, with people from the other end of the UK selecting it! We are always happy for customers to collect. This can be done by either ringing through with your order, or putting a comment on your online order, in which case will refund any carriage. With regards the full 5m lengths, this is a restriction imposed by the carriers. There are only two nationwide carriers that will take full lengths, bot regard themselves as a business to business company and both charge a hefty surcharge for residential properties (as they have to operate 7.5 tonne trucks rather than small vans to cope with the lengths). We do however have an option on the checkout for full lengths to residential addresses by choosing to pay an additional £5.49 carriage. this covers most of the surcharge. With regards to the small tubes of glue, I will take this on board and see if we can source some, so that we can offer it online in future.
