Hi Darren, With regard to the orientation of the bracket, I should have clarified in my initial review that I first tried the bracket the right way 'round, but when I did so the canopy sat proud of the ceiling surface, leaving an unsightly gap. Reversing the bracket at least allowed me to have the canopy flush. But regardless of which way the bracket is situated, I do hope you agree that the three screw holes on the canopy haven't changed position -- and thus they are still too close to the surface the canopy is being mounted on. So my original criticism of the design, and my suggested remedies -- move the screw holes on both the canopy and the bracket, supply Phillips/Torx screws as an option -- still stand.
