Hi Phil, Thank you very much for your feedback. As always, we appreciate feedback from our walkers as it helps us improve our services wherever necessary. I noted that a lot of your comments were actually for Walk The Trail, so this response is from myself as Manager of Luggage Transfers Ltd. To try to explain regarding your comments on the prices being a bit expensive..... I checked out your last walk with us which was in fact 2015, was a private booking from yourself and for 6 transfers from St Ives to Padstow which we term as "reverse direction" to 99.9% of our clientele. I also note that on that walk you were not charged the reverse supplement of £2 per day, you only had one bag and so in effect you had your transfers at a rather reduced rate. Your enquiry this year was a total of 13 transfers all in reverse direction which attracted the £2 addition each day. In the last 4 years since your last walk our prices have only gone up by £2 per transfer. It may look like we are appearing expensive, but quoting you correctly this time had made it look like we have put our prices up by £4 when in fact it is only a £2 increase. Our banding system prices journeys in the fairest way possible by time and mileage, and on your first walk with us in 2015 most of the journeys were the A band priced at £15 (1 bag) . This walk has a lot more B journeys which are priced at £22 (for one bag)and then the £2 added for reverse. I hope this explains a little more how we priced up this years itinerary for you and that you enjoyed your walk, it was certainly on one of the most stunning parts of the South West Coast Path... Hi John, Thank you so much for your comments. I am pleased you enjoyed your holiday and that we helped to contribute to that. I also appreciate your comments on the accommodation section of our booking system. We do try to keep this updated but can only do so when the accommodations actually let us know that they are no longer trading. We always action any closure by taking the listing off the website first and foremost so they no longer get enquiries. I can assure you the listings are being added to each year, but because of the time it takes to add a new listing with a picture etc, it is something that we have to undertake in the short break we have from bookings, usually around November, December. With regards to those too far from the coastpath, it's always worth checking with them as most of them will pick walkers up from the path and drop them back next day so that they actually have the booking placed with them.
