I see that you didn't take advantage of our combine and repack service, if this option is chosen before shipping our warehouse team would evaluate your package to see if the goods could be repacked to ensure the customer receives maximum value for shipping. Shipping costs are calculated on the amount of space the parcel takes up in transit, this is called the volumetric weight, the couriers always use this calculation unless the actual weight is higher than the volumetric weight then shipping fees would be calculated on the actual weight. Many of our customers use this service to purchase from multiple retailers and repack them all in one package to ensure that the goods are packed as efficiently as possible for shipping. I see the items you purchased were low value so going forward it may be more cost effective for you to take advantage of the 30 day free storage period we offer customers and arrangement all your purchases to be repacked into one package for shipping. This would ensure that you obtain the maximum value for shipping. Please also take into account that we are offering a service, we include the use of the address, the acceptance, processing, storage and preparation for dispatch within the price for shipping. Hi there, Many thanks for your feedback. It is great to hear that you were satisfied with the delivery service with DHL for your alcohol shipment from our Japan warehouse. I am sorry to hear that you have paid import taxes (GST) twice for your alcohol shipment. I have looked into this issue and it appears that this was caused due to a processing error on our system when we originally booked your alcohol package into your account at the Japan warehouse. Your package should have been marked correctly as 'Alcohol' on our system and a manual repack and shipment should have been processed by one of our customer service team on your behalf. Unfortunately because of this processing error our system has not been correctly notified that your package contained alcohol and our system had not removed the additional GST charges from your shipping invoice. Because your package contained alcohol, once the purchase documents had been uploaded and approved, the GST should have not been applied to your final shipping costs . We are not required to recover GST from shipments that contain alcohol-this should only be recovered from the receiver once the shipment arrives at the Australian border. Please accept our sincere apologies for this processing oversight. I will send you a direct email today so I can request some copies of your custom invoices in relation to the duplicated GST charges paid. I am more than certain we can resolve this issue for you very quickly and ensure you are reimbursed for any unnecessary additional costs you have paid. I hope this helps you.
