I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the cost of shipping via our service, I see that you shipped from our Guernsey tax free address which is based on a small island in the channel islands. Due to the limited infrastructure in Guernsey, they only have one flight in and one flight out per day therefore the shipping options are limited. At present we only offer shipping via DHL however we are looking to add other services as soon as possible to provide customers more choice. The added benefit of this address is that many retailers in the UK ship to Guernsey ex vat, so there is a saving on the initial purchase which helps reduce the overall amount paid for the purchase. For lower value items it is better to ship to our UK mainland address as there are more courier options for shipping from this facility. I'm pleased to hear that you have found our company trustworthy and that your experience was good however you found that the cost of shipping was a little expensive. forward2me do continually work with our couriers to ensure that our customers receive the best possible value for the service we offer, this has been difficult over the past 18 months due to COVID and the various additional surcharges that have been added to cover extra costs incurred by the couriers to ensure that they staff are safe and secure. Many of the economy services have not been available due to the lack of airspace, couriers often use space on passenger flights for these type of services. Now passenger flights are increasing we are hoping these services will become available again and we can offer more options. I also noticed that you did not take advantage of our combine and repack service. Couriers generally calculate the shipping cost based on the amount of space the shipment takes up, this is called the volumetric weight. The shipping fees would only be calculated on the actual weight if the volumetric was lower than the actual weight. For this reason we offer a combine and repack service, this enables our warehouse to repack goods so they are prepared as efficiently as possible for shipping and you obtain the maximum value for our service.
