Thank you very much for the in-depth review of the Coast to Coast Walk. The trail is in fact undergoing a big signage upgrade in the process of becoming a recognised National Trail, so I suspect that's why you saw such variety between the shiny new installed-this-year waymarkers and the outgoing lot! It's a huge project on such an epic trail, but we expect the work to be complete early in 2026. We're glad our GPX was useful in navigating those sections not yet upgraded.

We're glad the Alternative Coast to Coast proved to be a good alternative to Wainwright's route - we've always been big fans of this lesser known option - and that our arrangements all went to plan. Thanks very much for your review.
