Thanks for your feedback Paul. Unfortunately we have no plans at the moment to bring out a range extender case for that model. The range is far superior when using Android products, if you do have an Android phone or tablet we recommend using that for best range. Failing that standing higher up on the bank can help with the signal. The locking ring’s will loosen with time, but if yours persists in being stiff long-term please get in touch with us.

Thanks for your feedback! What you are describing are characteristics of FishSpy. Water blocks the WiFi signal, so it is impossible for it to transmit under the surface due to water being too dense. As you have found, when surfacing it is a simple case of re-connecting and reviewing your recorded footage whilst leaving in position. You can of course live stream at the surface without needing to re-connect should conditions be suitable. We are glad to hear you enjoyed success on Linear with the help of your FishSpy camera.

Many thanks for your feedback! Live feed underwater video footage is possible when the FishSpy is positioned at the surface looking down. We have made it abundantly clear that WiFi signal is lost once submerged – water is too dense to allow WiFi signal to transmit. We mention this in the product write up, and it is also on the FishSpy website: ‘’Once submerged, FishSpy will lose its Wi-fi connection to your device but recording continues; it's quick and easy to reconnect FishSpy to your device and play the footage back when the FishSpy resurfaces. ‘’ The FishSpy works well on iPhones, but as we have always stated Android phones and tablets have a better range and operating software; although we do stock range extender cases for iPhones.
