During busy periods dispatch can take up to 2 working days, this is reflected on our website and I am sorry if this information was relayed incorrectly to you over the phone.
In regards to your order, we always fulfil the order based upon what the customer has purchased. However, should an item be out of stock or unavailable customers will be contacted and asked if they would like to order something else or have a refund. Our customer service advisers are knowledgeable about all our products and would have offered a swap based on the information provided over the phone and recommended a suitable alternative should a customers first choice not have been available.
