Hi DAvid, glad you got your bags. The inside of the bag is coated with copper hydroxide solution in a latex which is why it is darker. This is essential to prevent leaching. The copper hydroxide means that there is and even spread of copper atoms throughout the surface and this is required to make sure that it is present whenever a root tip comes into contact with the bag.
