An oil tank should never be filled to the top, and ullage of around 5-15% should be left to allow for expansion and to avoid any spillage, which can have a huge environmental impact and a large cost. The driver uses his experience and training to gauge this ullage. Any payment reflects the exact volume delivered. Formerly known as Chandlers Oil and Gas, the company was established in 1935 and sold 'everything from a tin tack to a combine harvester'. WCF Ltd acquired the company in 2012 and it was rebranded as WCF Chandlers.
