Thank you for your feedback. We apologise for not responding sooner, but our office was closed for the Easter weekend and we were busy catching up yesterday. I have emailed you separately to explain that your policy already covered you for travelling to anywhere in Europe, as shown on your policy documents. The country picker option on the website is there to assist customers who are not sure which zone their destination country falls under, but in fact as the Canaries Isles are part of Spain, and Spain is part of Europe, there was nothing to change on your policy. As you now have two identical policies (apart from the policy no.), I have cancelled the original policy and refunded your card.

Travel and Personal Accident insurance does not work in the same way as for example car or house insurance with "no claims bonuses". We try however to keep our prices as low as possible for all our customers, new and old, and give renewal discounts to those who renew before expiry. If a customer is unfortunate enough to have needed to make a claim, they are not penalised for that, in the same way that we do not charge customers a higher premium for being unfortunate for having a medical condition or recent injury.
