We are sorry to hear that you find our website misleading. We spend a lot of time designing our website, to make it clear to our customers exactly what is covered under the different types of cover that we offer. We welcome any suggestions from a customers perspective as to how we could make it any clearer to avoid any other customers making the same mistake as you. 

We can see that you took out our Sports Accident policy. The home page of our website points out that this cover is mainly aimed at people doing their sport in their home country. During the quote process you would have arrived at the benefits page for the policy, which does not mention any cover for medical expenses abroad or repatriation to the UK. The Sports Accident policy would give you some cover abroad, so for example if you broke a leg you would be still be able to claim the £350 broken bone benefit irrespective of where in the world the accident happened, but a hospital bill is likely to exceed £350, and furthermore you might also need an extra seat for your journey home, or to delay your return to the UK due to hospital treatment or not being able to fly. During the quote process you should have also seen the following message:    "TRAVELLING ABROAD? Whilst our Sports Accident insurance is valid worldwide, it does not include cover for medical treatment abroad or repatriation ....."

We specifically ask customers to give us a few details about what they need their insurance cover for, and we noted from the details that you provided that you will be doing your sport abroad. One of our sales advisors therefore contacted you the next day & advised that we believed you had taken out the wrong cover, and suggested our Activity TopUp policy instead. That policy is aimed at people who already have general travel insurance in place for their trip, but need extra cover for medical expenses and repatriation just for a day(s) while doing a sport abroad that is not covered under their other policy. We are happy to refund any policy that has been wrongly purchased within 14 days of purchase. I will contact you by email to arrange that today. 

We do welcome any suggestions that you may have as to how we could explain any more clearly the differences between the types of cover that we offer on our website, and so avoid any customers buying the wrong cover.
