The photos of your four-legged adventurers enjoying the space are particularly lovely, especially the little gang keeping a very close eye on the sheep from the window! 🐶🐑 It looks like they certainly made themselves at home. We also spotted one enjoying a moment out by the bath, which looks like the perfect spot to sit back and take in the surrounding countryside. The photos really capture what makes Castor so special, from the peaceful open fields surrounding the shack to those beautiful big skies and the feeling of having your own little corner of the countryside. The cosy bed with the book waiting for a quiet moment, the outdoor space and your pups exploring around the cabin all give such a lovely glimpse into your stay. 🌿 We’re sorry to hear about the fencing around the property, though. We can completely understand how frustrating it must have been to have your miniature poodle escaping through the gaps, especially when you were trying to properly relax. It sounds like your little explorer was determined to find every possible escape route! 🐾 We really appreciate you highlighting this for us, and it’s certainly something we can look into improving. We’re sorry that the group of locals walking up to the property to use the route to the waterfall took away from some of the remote feeling during your stay. We completely understand why that would have been disappointing, particularly when that sense of privacy and being away from it all is such a special part of Mira. We’re really pleased, though, that you still had such a great birthday weekend and enjoyed the lodge and its beautiful surroundings overall. It sounds like you made the most of your weekend at Hydra! 🌿 From exploring the nearby town to settling into the cabin, it sounds like you found a lovely balance between getting out and about and simply enjoying the shack. What a wonderfully memorable time to visit Altair! An eclipse from the hilltop sounds like something you’re going to remember for a very long time. 🌙✨ And we love that the children were so excited about the special viewing glasses and that the location gave you such a brilliant vantage point. Your photos really capture the other side of the Altair experience too. From slow mornings tucked up in bed with that beautiful view, to a quiet cup of coffee looking out across the hills, it looks like there was plenty of time to simply pause and enjoy being there. ☕🌿 We especially love seeing your four-legged explorer making the most of the outdoor space, and that gorgeous outdoor bath with the countryside stretching away behind it looks like a pretty wonderful place to unwind. It sounds as though the shack itself really impressed you too. Calling it a “masterpiece” is quite something, and we’re thrilled that you found it both beautifully designed and comfortable while still having everything you needed. The fire pit and picnic area sound like they were put to very good use in the weather you had, and we can absolutely understand why you’re curious to see how the landscape feels when you return in autumn. 🍂 Thank you as well for the helpful note about researching day trips before arriving.
