Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear this castle experience didn't meet expectation. I can see the weather wasn't great during your stay which can have repercussions with the front loch facing rooms which we try to be very honest about. Having spoken with many guests who have stayed there recently, because it's so unique, historical and big but not at all luxury, the opinion seems to be very marmite - insofar as guests either love the experience warts and all, or they really don't.
I received every possible advice and information and there was excellent communication between Scotts and Fyvie Castle.I found every member of staff courteous and friendly and delighted that we had...
