Could not get on the sailing I wanted to, I was at the terminal in time but due to winter maintenance the ferry left not full but without me. More pre warning should be given to regular travellers...

We are sorry you were not able to travel on your intended sailing which was due to a temporary reduction in vehicle capacity whilst the upper linkspan surfaces were treated with anti-slip paint before the worst of the winter weather. Whilst pre-booked customers were unaffected there wasn't time to widely pre-advertise the change as the decision to go ahead was based on a 24hr weather window - the time needed for the new coating to cure.
