At the time of your original quote, the portal was undergoing maintenance, so we applied the same discounted administration fee manually to ensure you weren’t at any disadvantage. By the time we re-quoted your policy, the portal was back up and running. We explained that renewing online could be beneficial, as it allows you to complete the process at a time convenient to you and includes a £25 discount. However, we should have been clearer that this discount had already been applied to your price. Overall, we were able to secure a lower premium for you with the same insurer, along with the reduced administration fee.
