Thank you for your 4 star feedback on our Pantry Moth Traps. Our Traps catch the adult male moths so it could be that you are seeing females and juveniles flying around. Dealing with a Pantry Moth problem does take time so we do suggest keeping the Traps in place (they are active for 8 weeks after opening). With the help of the Traps you will be breaking the breeding cycle and also getting a good indication of the severity of the infestation. If the moth problem is larger than you at first anticipated you may like to consider one of our Pantry Moth Killer Kits which eliminates Moths, Larvae and Eggs. Dealing with these moths can take time so we suggest keeping the traps in place as they will be active for 8 weeks after opening. Our Traps catch the following types of Moth: •Webbing Clothes Moth, otherwise know as the Common Clothes Moth (Tineola bisselliella) •Case Bearing Moth, otherwise know as the Case Making Moth (Tinea pellionella) •White Shouldered House Moth (Endrosis sarcitrella) •Brown House Moth (Hofmannophila pseudospretella) If you are not seeing any moths on the Traps it could be for the following reasons. 1) The moth you are targeting is not one of the Moths mentioned above. You may like to view our guide on Identifying Clothes and Carpet Moths. The traps attract the active adult male moths and can be kept in place for 12 weeks after opening. 2) It might be due to the stage of the moth life cycle where some larvae are still pupating. We are only at the start of the moth season and you may be seeing young adults and female moths but not the active adult males yet. 3) If you have any other moth deterrents placed nearby they can distract from the Traps. We appreciate that discovering moths in your home can be very distressing. There could be several reasons why you are not seeing many moths on your Moth Traps at this time: 1. It is still early on in the Moth Season. If you are seeing any evidence of holes in your clothing then it will be the Moth Larvae that are currently most active rather than the adult moths. In this case a Moth Killer Kit would be worth considering. 2. You may find many more moths are present in the coming weeks if the weather gets warmer. It is worth keeping the Traps in place as they will be active for 12 weeks after opening. 3.
