The reason for this was that after your renewal annual multi-trip policy renewal, you contacted us to note that you'd forgotten to tell us about a medical condition. When this happens our agents are required to double check that all conditions on the policy have been accurately declared, including reminding you of what conditions you need to declare. We do this as it is often the case that where one condition has been missed another has been, or, something that had changed about one of the existing conditions since the last renewal had also been missed. While we apologise for the additional time this approach takes, it is there to ensure that customers are not left underinsured in the event of needing to claim due to a missed or inaccurate declaration. I would note for the future, we also provide a online service to let us know about missed medical conditions. The online process is quicker as we're able to show what's already declared and allow you adjust and add to the existing declaration with a few clicks.

The main e-mail in which we remind customers to double-check their medical conditions is named "Double Check Your Cover". Under the Medical Conditions section there is a button 'Review now' which takes you directly to the online system to update your medical conditions. When you contacted our Support Team, considering we have sent you the above-mentioned email giving you the possibility to update your medical declaration online, our Support agent assumed you preferred not to update the medical declaration online, and has requested you to call us as emails are an insecure communication method and thus not suitable for discussing medical conditions.

The e-mail we sent you to verify your medical conditions during your call stated 'The details of your medical declaration change can be accessed using the button, or link, below.' and contained a secure button/link to verify your changes, no personal details of any type where included in the email.
