Made a booking from email link that said I would get mystery discount of 8%, 12% or 20%
Nowhere in the booking did it allow me to apply any discount

This is a scam. You are not booking a hotel room, this is a private house in the middle of a housing estate in the middle of nowhere.
We didn't bother to try to check in, just drove off again and...
